Board of Director’s Meeting

Saturday, January 10, 2026

Meeting was called to order by president, Simeon Mosel.

Roll call:  Simeon Mosel, Karen Ostry, Rick Schuchardt, Matt Adams, Andrew Textley, Jacob Passyka and Kim Mosel

New Business:

Jacob Passyka was welcomed to the board officially.

All officers will retain their respective offices.

OCIA International AGMM Bylaws amendment proposals of B-1 and B-2 were approved by the board for the delegate to vote yes at the AGMM in February.

A motion was made by Rick Schuchardt to provide a gratuity of $50.00 gift card to a local restaurant to each of the speakers at the OCIA Nebraska Annual Meeting.  It was seconded by Matt Adams and approved by all board members.

Proxies were signed for Matt Adams to be our delegate at the OCIA International AGMM on February 12, 2026.

Kim Mosel has been getting requests from various media outlets about our organization and wanted one of the board members to field these calls.  Rick Schuchardt volunteered to take care of the calls.

Soil Health Conference in Auburn, NE will be on February 2, 2026.  Matt Adams volunteered to go and represent OCIA Nebraska.  February 18, 2026 is the other conference and Jacob Passyka will attend that one to represent OCIA Nebraska.

OCIA Nebraska was asked to help promote the USDA 2025 Organic Survey being sent out to organic farmers.
